Ponte Carlos (Charles Bridge)
A Ponte Carlos é a ponte mais velha de Praga. Foi construida desde a Cidade Velha de Praga até Malá Strana(Cidade Inferior) passando por cima do Rio Moldava e é considerada a segunda ponte mais antiga da República Checa.
Esta ponte começou a ser construida em 1357 a pedido do Rei Carlos IV (Karel IV - Rei de Pragua) e foi acabada no princípio do séc. XV.
Sendo a única conexão entre as várias zonas do local, a ponte tinha uma grande importância nas vias de comunicação e devido a isso a ponte chegou a chamar-se Ponte de Praga, pois era via principal para qualquer ponto do local.
Foi construida por Petr Parlér que também construiu a Catedral de São Vito no Castelo de Praga.
Charles Bridge is one of the oldest bridges of Prague. Was built from the Old Town of Prague to Malá Strana (Lesser Town) passing over the Moldava River and it is considered the second oldest bridge in The Czech Republic.
This bridge began to be built in 1357 by request of King Charles IV (Karel IV - King of Prague) and it was finished at the beginning of the 15th century.
Being the only connection between the various areas of the site, the bridge had a great importance in the ways of communication and due to this the bridge came to be called Bridge of Prague, because it was main route to any point on the site.
It was built by Petr Parlér who also built the St. Vitus Cathedral in the Castle of Prague
Câmara Municipal da Cidade Velha de Praga

A câmara municipal velha foi estabelecida em 1338.
A parte mais antiga do local consiste numa bela torre gótica com uma capela da baía e um relógio astronômico único, conhecido como "Orloj", onde aparecem os doze apóstolos em cada hora entre 9 e 11 horas,
A ala oriental da câmara municipal foi destruída durante a insurreição de Praga em 8 de Maio de 1945 e nunca foi reconstruída.
The old town hall was established in 1338.
The oldest part of the site consists of a beautiful Gothic tower with a bay chapel and a unique astronomical clock known as the "Orloj", where the twelve apostles appear every hour between 9 and 11 o'clock,
The eastern wing of the town hall was destroyed during the Prague insurrection on 8 May 1945 and has never been rebuilt.
Castelo de Praga

O Castelo de Praga está localizado na Colina Hradcany que foi o local em que foi fundada a Cidade de Praga e é uma das construções mais importantes de Praga.
Foi fundado no Séc. XI e é usado como residência presidencial. Dentro localiza-se a Catedral de São Vito, o Palácio Real do Castelo de Praga, a Torre Dalibor, o Convento de São Jorge e a Viela Dourada que é uma rua do Castelo de Praga.
The Castle of Prague is located on the Hradcany Hill which was the place where the city was founded and It is one of the most important contructions of Prague.
It was founded in the 11th century and It is used as presidencial residence. Whitin is located the Catedral of St. Vitus, The royal palace of the castle of prague, Dalibor's Tower, St. George's Convent and the Golden Lane which is a street of the Castle of Prague.
Vysehrad
(Castle on the Heights)
Vysehrad é um forte histórico localizado na cidade de Praga. Foi construido, no Séc. X, numa colina sobre o rio Vltava.
Dentro do castelo encontra-se a Rotunda de São Martinho, a Basilica de São Pedro e São Paulo, o cemitério de Vysehrad.
Vysehrad tornou-se num parque público que é um sítio popular para celebrações sendo o local onde os checos celebram o Ano Novo.
Vysehrad is a historical fort located in the city of Prague, It was built in the 10th century, on a hill over the Vltava River.
Whitin the castle is situated the rotunda of St. Martin, the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul and the Vysehrad Cemetery.
Vysehrad became a public park which is a popular site that is used for celebrations being the local where Czechs celebrate the New Year.
Basilica de São Pedro e São Paulo

A basilica de São Pedro e São Paulo é uma igreja que foi fundada entre 1070 e 1080 pelo Rei Checo Vratislav II. No ano de 1249 a basilica romana sofreu de um incendio sendo reconstruida no estilo gótico e mais tarde no estilo neo-gótico.
O edifício atual foi construido entre 1885 e 1903. O primeiro construtor responsavél pela construção foi Joseph Mocker que morreu deixando a construção inacabada, sendo o edifício terminado pelo seu parceiro Frantisek Miks.
The Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul is a church that was founded between 1070 and 1080 by The Czech King Vratislav II. In the Year of 1249, the Roman Basilica suffered a fire being rebuilt in the Gothic Style and later Neo-Gothic Style.
The current building was built between 1885 and 1903. The first builder responsable for the construction was Joseph Mocker who died leaving the building unfinished, being the building terminated by his partner Frantisek Miks.
Rotunda de São Martinho

A rotunda de São Martinho é a mais larga e mais velha das rotundas de Praga.
Foi construída na 2 ª metade do séc. XI, e foi transformada num armazem de pólvora quando a fortaleza foi estabelecida.
Em 1841 foi ameaçada pela comunicação planeada entre a Cidade Nova e Pankrác, mas o conde Karel Chotek conseguiu preservar a rotunda românica.
Em 1875 foi comprada pela canonry Vyšehrad e foi restaurado de acordo com um projeto do arquiteto Antonin Baum.
Antonín König e Jan Heřman pintaram as pinturas de paredes interiorese František Sequens pintou a pintura do altar.
A aparência de hoje é o resultado de várias reparações.
Acima do portal criado em um estilo pseudo-românico, há uma bola de canhão para comemorar o cerco prussiano de Praga em 1757.
A rotunda tem uma lanterna chamada "lanterna no telhado", afiada com uma cruz banhada a ouro com uma meia-lua e o sol.
The rotunda of St. Martin is the largest and oldest rotunda of Prague. It was built in the 2nd half of the 11th century, and it was turned into gun powder storage when the fortress was established.
In 1841 it was threatened by the planned communication between the New Town and Pankrác, but count Karel Chotek managed to preserve the Romanic rotunda.
In 1875 it was purchased by the Vyšehrad canonry and was restored according to a project of architect Antonín Baum. Antonín König and Jan Heřman painted the interior wall paintings, and František Sequens painted the altar painting.
Today’s appearance is the result of several repairs.
Above the portal created in a pseudo-Romanic style, there is a canon ball walled in to commemorate the Prussian siege of Prague in 1757.
The rotunda has a so called "lantern on the roof", edged with a gold-plated cross with a half-moon and the sun.
Cemitério de Vysehrad
(Vysehrad's Cemetery)

O cemitério de Vyšehrad, adjacente à Igreja de São Pedro e São Paulo, é um dos cemitérios mais importantes de Praga. Foi estabelecido em 1869 e é o lugar de descanso de muitos compositores, artistas, escultores, escritores ciêntistas e políticos.
A peça central do cemitério é o túmulo de Slavín desenhado por Antonín Wiehl, um túmulo grande e notável localizado no final oriental do cemitério de Vyšehrad.
The Vyšehrad cemetery, adjacent to the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, is one of the most important cemeteries in Prague. It was established in 1869 and is the resting place of many composers, artists, sculptors, science writers and politicians.
The centerpiece of the cemetery is Slavin's tomb designed by Antonín Wiehl, a large and notable tomb located at the eastern end of the Vyšehrad cemetery.
A colina de Petrin (Petrin Hill)
A colina de Petrin que era uma das vinhas do Rei Carlos de Praga, oferece belas vistas de Praga e várias atrações.
A colina é facilmente reconhecível pela torre de TV que é uma miniatura da Torre Eiffel de Paris.
The Petrin Hill which was one of King Charles of Prague vineyards, offers beautiful views of Prague and several attractions.
The hill is easily recognizable by the TV tower that is a miniature of the Eiffel Tower of Paris.
